Dishes range from 15-20 dollars. The sauces on the fish and shrimp tacos were great, mixed with a healthy amount of seafood. Performers, workshops, hosts and availability of meals are always subject to change. Situated at the end of the camping field right next to the River Wey is a large fire pit for some after dark jamming sessions around the open fire. I'm telling y'all, our daughter had the best time on the treasure hunt with the pirate and princess performers, and got magical rings from her favorite princess. The gift shop had lots of great items, but tended to be more expensive then other gift store places in close proximity. She was amazing and on top of everything requested.
We were there for a three day retreat! Drinks were pricy and not very strong. While the atmosphere warrants a 5 we really liked the vibe, the decor, and overall feel of the place , unfortunately every aspect of being a great restaurant and bar was lacking. Under no circumstances will a replacement ticket be issued for any ticket that has been damaged, lost, stolen, or destroyed. If anyone has anything else they would like to donate to the raffle then please see Rob and Kelly over the weekend and before Saturday night performance time in the Big Barn. The food is so-so at best. The only thing that saved this rating from not getting a 1 star was our waitress Lauren. Not much crab at all.
We will also be running a raffle again this year with tickets being sold in the big Barn on Saturday evening. I could only finish one of my tacos, due to portion sizes. I wanted to give 3 stars but our second experience breakfast made up for the first lunch. I will definitely return if I'm back in the area! Mellow farm is an established family run farm dating back to 1566. I got a chicken nacho and it was delicious but huge and I couldn't even almost eat the whole thing. She was grinning from ear to ear.
He has a knack for getting the crowd involved and it's truly fun. Miss Ellen and Adam kept the event running smoothly! I stopped in for breakfast on the way out of town with some friends. Each time we wish we would have eaten elsewhere and then come To the Hangout for drinks and music. I highly recommend eating breakfast here with the kids for the Pirates and Princess Breakfast I think only offered during the Summer. We will be back on our next trip to Alabama, just watch out for the rude locals!!! They do have a large restaurant indoor area and outdoor music area as well. Overall, if you like eating decent food near the beach, you have found the right spot! The fish and chips were large, served on a pile of fries. The endless breakfast platter was great too!! We were fine with that because there was plenty to do and we were close to the beach.
I am giving this place 4 stars mostly for the venue itself. We had a large group of 10 people that ordered several things. We will definitely be back next trip. And our daughter got to go on yet again, another fun adventure. The following night he helped Lauren with our large group and made his first Miami Vice ever. Drinks were expensive and I didn't realize I ordered a can.
The pirates gave her an eye patch and performed a sword fight in front of our table. The grilled grouper was decent. Ate their twice during the week and both times just so-so. He was pretty dang good. There is also a gift shop inside with some touristy items as well as other cool gifts.
The sauces on the fish and shrimp tacos were great, mixed with a healthy amount of seafood. Loved everything about the place! Seating was very limited though because of some scrapbook convention thing going on. However, our waitress on the first day for lunch seemed sick, tired, or hung over. We got a new waitress, she was lovely. There's a few places that have really good food.
Also bear in mind that music in the barn can go on until quite late. I could only finish one of my tacos, due to portion sizes. This is becoming a regular spot for us. The staff does a really good performance which includes a treasure hunt, photo opportunities, and singalongs. Most often, they don't have both. The restaurant has a great view of the beach and fun decorations. They are not directly on the beach but they are beach adjacent across the street.
We are now at 150 minutes 2 and a half hours and went from the next table to the third table in line. The fish was not heavily breaded and cooked perfectly. Went back on Friday to watch Dustin play. Including their touted Wagyu beef burger that some in our party were anxious to try. The Cobb salad was also so so. Stop in and be sure to ask for Kayla and Karl! During the weekend various performances and workshops will be available in the Barn and Chicken Shed or down by the river, as well as a chance for people to jam or perform music of their own during the open mic sessions.
This place is obnoxiously loud and plays the same annoying music on repeat. The staff could care less. The crab fries were ok but overpriced for what you get. The waitress was nice but the hostess was very put off that we wanted to sit in the area with a view even through the place was dead. And the views of the gulf are amazing. We have heard nothing but rave reviews from this place. I would come back just for those things.
