Extension researchers and educators engage individuals and organizations in asking the challenging questions to discover science-based answers that make a difference. The Watershed Game The people making decisions and policies about the health of our water are working to address a wide array of local priorities. Students who receive the invitation can submit a request online to share their materials with another campus. We engage undergraduates in science and medicine, train medical students, produce PhDs in research, and enrich the experience of post-doctoral students, residents and fellows. We'll share the stories that bring the drive to discover straight home to Minnesota's doorstep.

Cattle in your aspen woodlands Those who practice silvopasture—an agroforestry practice that combines sustainable management of forage, livestock and woodlands—are helping to lower the concentration of atmospheric greenhouse gases while raising cattle for income, improving their woodlands and improving water resources. Extension is a partnership between the University of Minnesota and state, federal, and county governments to provide scientific knowledge and expertise to the public. I was able to combine many of my interests and pursue multiple programs of study. They may or may not have knowledge or training about watershed management, and their resources are limited. We need your help to bring the same experience and skills to youth today. Students living outside of the United States or Canada will receive an email invitation to participate.
